Don't forget about virtual health during cold & flu season

With cold and flu season upon us, it might be a good time to remind your fully insured members that they have access to virtual health (powered by MDLIVE) – for those times when it's tough to get to the doctor's office. Medical care is as close as your computer or smartphone ... around the clock and around the world.

Members simply go to and follow the step-by-step instructions to establish an MDLIVE account through the My Blueprint member portal.

Is virtual health easy to use?

Members who use FaceTime, Skype, etc. to chat with family and friends are already familiar with this kind of technology. And even if they are not familiar with video chats, the system is very user-friendly, even for beginners.

Virtual health :
  • Lets members (and anyone covered under their health plans) see a physician after hours or away from home.
  • Boasts an average wait time of less than 10 minutes.
  • Features 24/7 availability of primary care physicians.

Virtual health visits are treated the same as a visit with a primary care physician. Normal copayments, coinsurance and deductibles apply.
