Fearless Food Fight 2018

Fighting Hunger in Arkansas

As part of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield's 70th anniversary in 2018, we committed to providing healthy food and fighting food insecurity throughout the year, pledging to pack 700,000 meals to fight hunger in Arkansas. We reached out to schools, businesses and community organizations to help us pack these meals and stock food banks and empty pantries in vulnerable communities. Visit the links below to see photos and videos from each event.

Pep Rally with a Purpose events

In 2018, we once again hosted the Kick-off Classic, presented by hootens.com, with eight meal-packing events and pep rallies at high schools across the state. These Pep Rally with a Purpose events gave football players and cheerleaders the opportunity to pack meals for their local food banks and culminated in the Kickoff Classic games on Aug. 25 and Aug. 27. Visit each school's page below for more details on their meal-packing efforts.
