LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (January 10, 2017) – Members of Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas and Health Advantage will all have one more thing to celebrate in the new year – a more personalized and customizable experience on their health insurance website. My Blueprint, the self-service portal that members use to access health plan information, claims history and tools, has undergone a massive upgrade after a team of usability experts evaluated the site and spent more than a year re-organizing, designing and testing it.
"There has always been a wealth of information available in My Blueprint," said eMarketing manager, Trey Hankins, "but we wanted to present it all in a way that made it easier to find and understand. With all-new graphs that help monitor spending, timelines to check on claims, and search tools to find in-network, affordable care, we think our members are going to like the reimagined My Blueprint."
The Find Care tool is front-and-center on the main page, allowing users to quickly search by provider name, specialty, condition or procedure. When searching for a procedure, results also return an estimated cost for each provider. This allows users to immediately get a sense of how much treatments cost, what the plan pays and how much they may be responsible for based on their specific plan benefits.
The brand new claims status timeline lets members know when their claims have been received, processed and paid.“ Most claims are paid as soon as they're reviewed, so we thought members might benefit from seeing that when dealing with their healthcare providers,” explained Hankins.
Personalized health tips and reminders are also displayed to help members take full advantage of their benefits.
To see the new My Blueprint, members can visit their plan's website and sign in to their account. Members without an account only need their member ID number to register and receive full access to all of the tools and resources.
