Member Mailings & Updated BIN/PCN Chart

Thanks to all of you for contributing to another successful AEP. Over the next few weeks, BlueMedicare and Health Advantage members will begin receiving ID cards, new member welcome kits and Sapphire cards to use for covered out-of-pocket dental, hearing and vision costs. Not every member will receive the same mailings, though. To learn more, please read below.

ID Cards

Timing: All ID cards are expected to be delivered by the end of December.

Who receives them: New members and existing BlueMedicare members who moved to a different BlueMedicare plan will receive ID cards. Members who kept the same BlueMedicare plan for 2023 will NOT receive new ID cards.

BIN/PCN Chart

Please reference the chart below when assisting your clients fill their prescriptions beginning January 1, 2023:

New Member Welcome Kits

Timing: All new member welcome kits are expected to be delivered by the end of the first week of January, and most may arrive sooner.

What’s included: The kits will include the new member welcome guide, Notice of Availability of Electronic Documents, Notice of Privacy Practices and an over-the-counter (OTC) catalog.

Who receives them: Like the ID cards, new member welcome kits will only be delivered to new members and existing BlueMedicare members who moved to a different BlueMedicare plan. Members who kept the same BlueMedicare plan for 2023 will NOT receive new member welcome kits.

BlueMedicare Sapphire Cards and Health Advantage Flexible Spending Cards

Timing: Sapphire and Flexible Spending cards are expected to be delivered by the end of the first week of January. New funds will be available to use on January 1, 2023. (NOTE: Any unused 2022 funds will NOT rollover into 2023.)

Who receives them: Only members new to Arkansas Blue Medicare will receive cards. Members who had an Arkansas Blue Medicare card in 2022 can use their existing card in 2023. Members can call the Sapphire card customer service line at 877-743-9481 with questions, to check their balance or to request a replacement card.
